buy 4 lobster, and I reach out far to make safe exchange - toss to John

lobster…took a long time to cook with small flame on propane stove

swinging against us

current – watch Point LePreau lighthouse for hour
- Dipper
Harbour – ignore tide – anchor close to big breakwater
- 2
hours out of current to wait for change
- Extreme
cold – me cold feet, John shower - John so cold he takes chance, keeps
propane stove on, heating heavy empty pan -sleeps in salon as his bunk is
full of dampness
- Lay
in sleeping bags, rubbing feet; think sleep is impossible, but... oversleep
half hour
- Anchor
chain cold; crisp morning
- Sun
on nose and wind one more time
- Eye
strain and pain, looking directly into rising sun for evil lobster buoys
- Run
through one dense bank of fog for 15 minutes, suddenly into Saint John
shipping channel
- Pull
up to dock at Market Slip
- Customs
in Saint John is difficult, but no inspection
- Doug
and Jeanne arrive to say hello
- Dawn,
Richard, Lorraine arrive to sail up the Saint John River to Grand Lake
