| It was an overnighter
between Union Island (Grenadines) and Tobago. An amazingly easy trip,
we did it in one tack, and we had the company of two pods of dolphins!
We think this is
Parlatouvier Bay. From this bar at the top of the hill we got a
perfect view of the bay and our boat.
| Charlotteville, Tobago;
our first stop.
We caught 8 of these
little tunas over 2 days. For some, we steamed them and made a lemon
dill sauce. They were excellent eating!
| A clean galley, an unusual
sight! The juice jug in the window served as one of our rain water
catchers.
Check out the turpentine
container! I don't think our government would allow such packaging!
Apparently children are easy to make around here!
| Jungle Johnson showed us
around and didn't want anything for it. We stopped at a beach
bar and treated him to a beer.
This is a school in
Tobago. What a playground! I couldn't imagine teaching in the
heat and the humidity.
| We couldn't resist walking
up to another falls to cool off in.
This cutie had no problem
reaching the leaves on the upper branches.
| "I'll sing you a song, you
pay me money and I'll go and buy rum."...and that's just what happened.
Ahhhh...another perfect
sunset!
| The wildlife on Tobago was
much richer than on the other islands.
The dog days of summer never end... |
| Mike Campbell's boat.
Check out Dyna, his trusty dog and burglar alarm!
It was a sad day when Cat
Tales was removed from the water to wait out the hurricane season.
We'll be back in October.
