Homeward Bound...Coastal USA

and I.C.W. (Inter-coastal Waterway)

We tied directly to the main dock in Savannah Georgia, and enjoyed playing the tourist from our spot of convenience

The dock raised and lowered with the tides, making our boat appear and disappear to the tourists and storekeepers

Keeping up with the scheduled bridge openings kept us busy!

There were at least 5 different types of bridges.  Most operators were pleasant, but not all...

Miles and miles of narrow rivers slowed down progress.

Hints of big city life were all around us, contrary to the slow pace of the Caribbean

A rare blue crab

This snake worked on this fish for several hours before a couple of children went at him with a stick!

A typical home on the Inter-coastal Waterway!

We must have lost our invitation to this party, but we heard it most of the night anyway!

Creative lawn furniture in Oriental to show Ron back home!

Ron makes his fair share of Adirondack chairs!

Another creative design!

Norfolk, Virginia showed us their navy

Fishing boats were in abundance, and needed to be avoided

A nasty water spout formed and died...

Wrightsville beach in the Carolinas

After catching 5 lobster pot lines in our propeller in the Bay of Fundy, Laurie became an expert at untangling them without getting too wet!

Another ice-cream type headache!

We were met in Saint John by good friends, one of whom was John Fallon.

He was a continuous ham radio contact and advisor while away for the entire two years.

We owe him many thanks for helping us stay safe out there.
